Residential Sealcoating Process

The preparation required before sealcoating your driveway will, of course, depend on the degree of damage and the extent of repairs that need to be done. Before applying the sealer that protects and beautifies your driveway, we begin by power-edging and power-cleaning the outer edges of your driveway. We will then sweep debris from the driveway surface. If your driveway is soiled with oil spots or other chemicals, we will remove the offending spills to ensure proper adherence of our sealer.

With those processes completed, your driveway is now ready for our team to begin the process of transformation. Any cracks that have formed in your driveway will be filled with our rubber crack filler. We heat this substance to 400 degrees so that it penetrates deep into the crack before solidifying and providing new strength to the affected areas.

If your driveway was built in sections, it will have joints, which also require filling. The joint filler is also heated to 400 degrees before application. Joint filling provides added strength to your driveway prior to applying the sealer. The application of our Seal King sealer is the final step in the transformation of your driveway.
